G’day, I’m Traveling Matt, and this is my website of unique creative fun gift ideas for travelers. Well, that’s what it’s aspiring to be anyways. But, as you may notice, it’s still something of a work in progress, so I hope you’ll pardon my dust as I work to make this site a more useful resource for everyone.
Ultimately the goal is to offer the Interweb’s most complete collection of unique gift ideas for travelers, such that even clueless non-traveling Moms and Pops and Significant Others can visit this page and discover the secret unspoken desires of their travel-crazed loved ones– well, at least insofar as they pertain to gift ideas! Here you’ll find gift ideas for all types of travelers, whether the jet-setting always on the go business traveler, the soul-searching globetrotting backpacker, the worldly woman who loves to explore new cultures, or the lucky professionals for whom travel is a full-time job, like flight attendants, pilots, tour guides, business development executives, and expatriates.
Why Gifts for Travelers?
I created this website after years of having friends tell me how much they appreciate my gift ideas: “You’re so creative!” they’d say, and marvel at why they could never come up with such ideas themselves. But the truth is that I spend a LOT of time browsing shops and the Internet for gift ideas, staying on top of the hot items for all of the hobbies that my friends enjoy– traveling, boating, hiking, etc., and searching for that perfect find.
Finally, I decided it was time to give back, and I created this website to make it easier for others to show the travelers in their life how much they appreciate them. Because there’s nothing like that feeling you get when a friend or loved one opens your gift and shouts, “It’s PERFECT!”, beaming with joy.
We all deserve that feeling more often! So I hope you’ll use this website as a starting point for finding a gift that will make someone feel really special!

The website is organized into different categories according to the type of gift, the recipient, occasion, or price range. For example, you can browse gift ideas for a business traveler, gifts under $50, or Christmas gifts for travelers.

For each gift, I’ve searched around the Internet to find the online store currently offering the best price, sticking to good quality reputable stores like Amazon, Magellan’s, REI, and the like.
